These beach themed cushions are embroidered with sea gulls, lighthouses and fishing buoys, are 100% cotton and have an ecru striped cover with embriodered text of everybody, except Cliff Richard's, favourite seaside song...."Oh I do like to be beside the sea side". The four seaside cushions have the four rhymes so in to your old age you will never forget the last line as you stare yonder across the sea to the setting sun! Perhaps inspired by the beach huts and beautiful coastline of Dorset, we sell these seaside cushions individually or discounted when purchasing three of any or mixed design. They measure 45cm by 45cm and come with the inner cushion pads. Prettily embroidered and 100% cotton, they all have nautical stripes at the bottom and either "Coast", "Sea" or the attractive row of beach huts at the centre. "Coast" seems to sell best alone and they make for attractive soft furnishing when grouped together. A marvellous addition for a beach decoration theme. Wooden Rustic Fish Pairs with Floats - 8 inches long

These come in pairs (2 on a string) and are of course for hanging in kitchens, bathrooms or elsewhere in the home or garden room. They have two matching floats attached to a rope from which the nautically minded can choose where to hang them. We do see lots of these grouped on work surfaces, bathroom areas etc so don't feel bad about not dangling them if you're going for a more horizontal decorative look! They're made of wood and are hand painted. Note the rustic colour and small net and shell designs on each fish. You're seeing both sides of the fish in the image and they stand approximately 8 inches from head to tail and about 2 inches wide and only an inch deep. Hanging from the string from the top of the rope to the tail you'll be looking at a length of about 15 inches. Fish Thermometers - 78381

It gets hot in our shop. We own and retail from an old Grade 2 listed building so our working conditions incorporate small windows, lots of lights and lots of machinery for the ice cream and drinks part of the business. Driftwood Heart - DG7254

"Bill the Beachcomber lived a spiritual life selling driftwood by a cave on the Dorset coast", was how the children's book I was going to write would begin. But that's as far as I got and then we started selling our own driftwood hearts at half the price even Bill could ever have sold them on for! Driftwood, which is mainly the remains of trees which have found their way in to our seas during bad weather, or more rarely the remains of shipwrecked boats, is often collected along the south coast, but of course can originate from anywhere in the world bordering the ocean, so we've cut out the middleman and import ours directly which saves the buyer a considerable sum of money! Our 40 centimetre driftwood hearts are a fraction of the price of many we have seen for sale online. Each heart is of course unique and made from raw natural materials. The images show a typical 40 centimetre heart but please remember all colours and shapes may vary slightly. We can source driftwood hearts for you which have been assembled here in Dorset and which are more expensive but can be made to any size - for a quotation please contact info@dorsetgifts.com - special prices for larger quantities also available. All our driftwood hearts have a flat back and concealed hook for hanging to a wall - these are a great nautical line for beachside homes.

Incidentally, a nautical knot in speed terms is equal to 1.15 land miles per hour.
